Through the Night

Kristen stayed at the hospital most of last night. The nurses set up a room where she could stay, be close to dad, and be available when the nurses worked on Al. During one of the times they woke Al, he opened his eyes, looked at Kristen, and seemed to understand what she was saying. This is more good news. There will be another CAT scan today. All of this good news comes with a bit of a pause, as we do not know a lot of things yet as it is much too early. We do know, however, that God is in control. We are not. Our faith and trust in Him remains steadfast as sovereign.

If you have a copy of “Grace for the Moment” by Max Lucado, today’s devotional (July 15) “More than Meets the Eye” is appropriate. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing something is real even if we do not see it.”

Thank you for taking the time to update the blog and keep all of Al's friends in the loop with his recovery. We will continue to pray for Al and his daughter. Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking about Al all the time and that your efforts are greatly appreciated.
