Sitting Up and the "Steel Force"

This morning i visited with Al, who was in and out of sleep while I was there. They told me they had him sitting up on the side of the bed. Now that is amazing. He has three other 'roomies' and I am sure the others do not know what is in store for them. This will offer yet another opportunity to show that not all bikers are 'bad dudes' but we can extend care and compassion as 'regular guys.'

As I sat with him and read the Psalms to him, I gazed out the window and saw the top of the Steel Force roller coaster at Dorney Park, and remembered that Kristen had mentioned it. I thought of the 'steel horses' we ride and how, unlike riding the roller coaster, there are no rails to guide us. It is sort of like life itself, with no rails to guide us. However there is an instruction book to help us in the journey of life. The Bible. When you think of how the Bible came about, and has lasted centuries through many 'twists and turns' along the way, it still stands as the number one seller of ALL time. In order for us to ride our steel horses, there was an instruction book, both for riding and for the equipment. We read, applied the principles, and moved forward. Just like life. The Bible - Life's Instruction Book.

  1. Mitch, You are so right...the Bible has lasted longer than any book and the most sold. People give them as gifts but never read them until God pokes their hearts to pick it up.
God is amazing! They didn't expect our son to live after his accident but he is hear doing well and he was saved through it all. I, Dave and our son was saved after the accident. Why did it happen...down the road says it all when we look back and look at the whole picture! WOW!
    Thanks for the updates!
