Yesterday's post prayed for nothing else to take a turn. Things have turned slightly. Al has developed a fever of 101 which has been at this point for 24 hours. They also began giving him anitbiotics to treat for pneumonia. This became a concern due to the caughing up (no clear) and with the inactivity (no motion), this is always a concern.
Al is also very restless. I think he is just agiated to be laying for so long. Kristen wants to again limit the visitation in order to keep him calm. This is what the nurses have said. They moved the main line to the other side today, and continue to keep him sedated.
As was mentioned earlier, things can change either way, any day. So, we continue to pray.
As I will be traveling for a week, this blog will be updated just oonce a day, unless time allows me more opportunity to update.

I'm sure Al has had enough of just laying in bed.Feeling bad or not he probabbly wants to get up and do something. Keep fighting Al!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updates. Whether daily or whenever you have time.
ReplyDeleteI am a co-worker of Al's and I just want to thank you for these updates on his condition. Not only are the staff concerned for Al's well-being, but the clients are also worried about Al and asking how he is doing, so this is a nice way of being able to keep up with his progress. Keep fighting Al, you have a lot of people who are praying for you and can't wait to see you back on your feet again. Thank you again for keeping this site up to date!
ReplyDeleteMitch, you're doing a great job! Thank you so much. My only regret in being away is that I cannot visit Al on a daily basis from 4 hours away. Whenever you are able to update, everyone will appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteAL.... KEEP FIGHTING!!!! We need to see that mischievous smile again! ;)
